Description

Red de Mujeres means ‘women’s network’ in Spanish, with these women coming together to grow coffee after either becoming widowed by civil war, or being left behind by husbands who left the country during the 2001-2004 coffee crisis when low prices meant farmers could not earn enough to survive. These women combined their efforts and were able to afford organic certification and access larger coffee markets, fetching better prices for their crops.

This coffee is typical for a Guatemalan with a full-bodied and fruity taste which is particularly good as an espresso.
