Green lentils – British grown 500g


Delicious and beautiful olive green lentils grown at Fobbing Farm in Essex by George Young. These lentils aren’t certified organic but George is in the process of getting organic certification later this year, and is radically rethinking the way farming works and has implemented many regenerative farming practices. George is also working on building an innovative stacked enterprise model which sees him working with other specialist businesses in mutually supportive ways.

These whole lentils are simply superb for salads, stews, soups and more.

Cooking instructions

Check for any stones, rinse, cover with fresh water, bring to the boil and simmer for 15 to 20 minutes (until tender). Or add directly to stews and casseroles, the lentils will cook with the other ingredients. Whole lentils retain their shape when cooked

Allergy information

All products are packed in a facility which handles soy, wheat, gluten, nuts including tree nuts and peanuts, mustard, and sesame. We take care to store produce safely and keep regulated allergens seperate from other products. All produce is weighed directly in to packaging with individual scoops, however we use the same scales for multiple products (the products do not touch the surface of the scales). If you have a known allergy, you can enter this information at the checkout stage so that we're aware of it while packing up your order.
