Gaturiri coffee factory is a member of the Barichu Cooperative Society, processing coffee for around 1100 coffee producers in Nyeri, Central Province.

The station is renowned for the quality of coffee processed there. Each coffee cherry is hand-picked then delivered to the station for pulping. The beans go through two stages of fermentation before being washed, soaked, then slowly dried. The resulting flavour is rich and complex.

As cooperative members, farmers are given credit to allow them to pay for school fees and farm improvement, and given access to research and education on coffee growing practices.

All of our coffees are freshly roasted in small batches by us in house by us via our Roasting House label

Allergy information

All products are packed in a facility which handles soy, wheat, gluten, nuts including tree nuts and peanuts, mustard, and sesame. We take care to store produce safely and keep regulated allergens seperate from other products. All produce is weighed directly in to packaging with individual scoops, however we use the same scales for multiple products (the products do not touch the surface of the scales). If you have a known allergy, you can enter this information at the checkout stage so that we're aware of it while packing up your order.
