Floresmiro Vega is a small holder and organic advocate, believing that agriculture should work in harmony with nature. He has only been growing coffee for 6 years but has already been forced to move to a new farm when the Colombian government started to spray glyphosphate indiscriminately to destroy coca plants for the cocaine industry, which was also affecting other farmers. Now on his new farm he is able to grow high quality organic coffee.
He operates as a member of the non-profit ASPROAAA co-operative which provides business support, training, and access to equipment that small scale farmers would otherwise struggle to reach, improving the economy of the largely poor rural community in which it operates.
All of our coffees are freshly roasted in small batches by us in house by us via our Roasting House label
